    Failure to manage fiduciary risks and responsibilities can lead to costly litigation. This presentation explores ten potentially perilous traps for trustees in the investment, distribution and taxation apportionment arenas. Drawing upon the latest judicial and legislative developments, the presentation offers guidance and practical suggestions for reducing litigation exposure.

    Sharon L Klein is responsible for  coordinating the delivery of all Wealth Management services by teams of professionals, including planning, trust,  investment management, family governance and education, family office, and private banking services, to high-net worth clients. Sharon also heads Wilmington Trust’s National Matrimonial/Divorce Advisory Practice.  

    Sharon has more than 25 years of experience in the wealth advisory arena and is a nationally recognized speaker and  author. She has spoken for many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers,  the Heckerling Institute, New York University’s Institute on Taxation, Duke University’s Estate Planning Conference, and  Bloomberg BNA’s Tax Management Board. Sharon is frequently featured or quoted in publications such as the Wall  Street Journal, The New York Times, Estate Planning magazine, and Trusts & Estates magazine.

    Forbes featured Sharon as a top 2020 Advisor in two separate categories: One of the Top 200 Women Wealth Advisors  in America, and a Best-In-State Wealth Advisor. She’s a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and  has received the Accredited Estate Planner Designation from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.
